TGW Group is seeking a Team Leader for our Västerås intralogistics project in partnership with ICA Sweden. You will oversee the Resident Engineering team, coordinate maintenance and improvements, and ensure on-site performance for a highly automated cold store.

You will work with Siemens S7 control systems, Profinet, and related networks in a challenging environment, including standing shifts and site-wide collaboration with the TGW maintenance team.

Formación

• Engineering qualification or equivalent local standard.
• Experience in an operational engineering role in a similar environment.
• Experience leading a team or mentoring team members.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens S7, Profibus, CAN bus, Profinet and ASI Bus.
• Ability to work in a time-critical environment.
• Strong proficiency in Swedish and English.

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Team Leader who can make an impact from day one, as the point of contact for all intralogistics systems of TGW, and ensure excellent cooperation with our client ICA and the residential TGW maintenance team.

ICA Sweden partners with TGW for the delivery of an automation solution for the warehouse operations of ICA's newest cold store in Hacksta, Västerås.

The new highly automated cold storage facility is approximately 23,000 square metres, and TGW will deliver the automation solution for the warehouse operation of the new warehouse.

The solution from TGW consists of a 30-metre-high fully automated pallet warehouse with a dynamic shuttle system that provides direct access to each product in ICA’s cold store, which shortens the lead times for store picking.

Goods are shipped in sequence and packed store-specifically at fully or partially automated packing stations, which pack the store orders onto trolleys. The different parts of the automation solution are connected by energy-efficient conveyor belts for pallets, cartons, and parcels. All modules of the solution have been developed and tested to work in temperatures of -25 degrees.

WHAT YOU’LL BE HANDLING

• You ensure the day-to-day management of the Resident Engineering team
• You support site performance by using internal networks across Lifetime Services to identify improvements and contribute to site success
• You execute performance reporting and monitoring, customer meetings, identifying successes and opportunities to improve
• You ensure Continuous improvement by using internal tools such as DART and CMMS
• You perform audits of site processes to ensure compliance, implementing audit follow-up actions to improve the site
• You manage team resources to ensure contract performance
• You identify opportunities to improve daily working practices to improve quality and performance (PPM Plans, Method statements)
• You use of CMMS and DART to ensure that all activity is accurately recorded to benchmark team performance
• You conduct regular 121's and annual Performance Development Interviews to support team development and performance
• You coordinate all maintenance activities, planned repairs, and reactive repairs of the automated equipment on site
• You support the automation to operate at its maximum efficiency
• You complete all necessary reports, including near-miss and hazard reports, shift reports, maintenance tasks, spare parts usage reports, and toploss reports, while working in DART, CMMS, SAV Assure, and Teams software platforms
• You attend daily customer meetings, providing any updates on the automation
• You manage escalations on site in line with TGW’s escalation procedure
• You have a flexible attitude from Monday to Sunday and are willing to work in the following 2 shift pattern;
• Monday to Friday - 06:00 to 23:00
• One day on the weekend;
• Sat - 06:00 to 18:00
• Sun - 06:00 to 23:00

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• You have an Engineering Qualification, minimum local standard
• You have previous experience working in an operational engineering role within a similar environment
• You are experienced in leading a team or coaching, and mentoring team members
• You have working knowledge of Siemens S7, Profibus, CAN bus, Profinet and ASI Bus
• You have the ability to work in a time-critical environment
• You have strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical engineering
• You are experienced in managing customer/stakeholder relationships
• You demonstrate strong proficiency in both written and spoken Swedish and English
• You are able to work at heights
• Available to work flexible shift patterns and physically and mentally able to work in a freezer and low-oxygen zone*
• You are skilled in reading electrical drawings and fault-finding
