Husqvarna’s Motor Tools Team in Huskvarna seeks a Software Engineer to build and maintain internal R&D PC tools for configuration, testing, diagnostics and firmware deployment. You’ll enable R&D teams to communicate with products and support verification efforts.

You will contribute to the team that maintains the internal web page for released software and scripts for dealers and production testing, collaborating across software, electronics, and mechanics.

Qualifications

  • University degree in software engineering or related field.
  • Several years of software development experience.
  • Solid knowledge of C#, WPF, .NET, Python, CI/CD, Git, Power BI, and serial communication.
  • Fluent English, spoken and written.
  • Experience with AWS, IaC, Python CDK, JavaScript, Azure DevOps, Django, Databricks, or measurement tools helps.
  • Experience with electrical motor control is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain internal R&D PC tools for configuration, testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and firmware deployment.
  • Support communication with products and aid efficient development and verification.
  • Maintain the team’s internal web page documenting released software for handheld battery tools.
  • Create and manage scripts used at dealers and in production lines for firmware download and testing.
  • Provide third-line support when needed, without on-call duty.

About the Team

You will join our Motor Tools Team, a sub-team within the R&D organization developing software tools and solutions for our handheld battery products. You will be one of two dedicated Software Engineers focusing on R&D, production and dealers PC tools.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer in the Motor Tools Team, you will develop and maintain internal R&D PC tools used for configuration, testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and firmware deployment. These tools are important for enabling our R&D teams to communicate with products, download software, and support efficient development and verification. The Motor Tools team are also responsible for our internal web page where the users find information of released software for all our handheld battery tools. You will also be part of the team responsible for scripts used at dealers and in the production line for firmware download and testing. You will provide third-line support when needed, without on-call duty. In this role, you will be close to both software and product development, working with handheld battery tools where software, electronics, and mechanics come together.

Your Profile

We are looking for a creative, driven, and collaborative Software Engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and working closely with others. You are social, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership in a role where communication with different stakeholders is an important part of everyday work.

Qualifications
  • University degree within software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • A few years of experience in software development.
  • Good knowledge of C#, WPF, .NET Framework, Python, CI/CD, Git, Power BI, and serial communication.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience from AWS, infrastructure as code, Python CDK, JavaScript, Azure DevOps, Django, Databricks, embedded software development, or measurement tool integration is beneficial.
  • Experience from electrical motor control is a strong plus.
