Husqvarna Group in Huskvarna, Sweden, seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize PLC-based automation and test systems within our engineering and product development environment.

You will program Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, commission and troubleshoot equipment, support machine safety, and collaborate with product teams to drive continuous improvement and long-term automation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
  • Several years of experience working with industrial automation systems.
  • Extensive experience programming PLC systems in Beckhoff TwinCAT 3.
  • Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated systems.
  • Knowledge of machine safety standards and implementation.
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols and system integration.
  • Experience with test systems or automated production equipment is highly beneficial.
  • Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are meritorious.

  • Providing technical expertise and contributing to long‑term automation strategies.
  • This is a hands‑on role where you will drive automation initiatives independently while working closely with engineers, developers, and internal customers.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to strengthen our team in Huskvarna. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing automation solutions and test systems used within our engineering and product development environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Programming and developing PLC-based automation solutions, primarily in Beckhoff TwinCAT 3
