Job description

Last date to apply: 27 September 2026 We’re one of the world’s oldest start‑ups — and we’re just getting started. At Husqvarna Group, innovation is in our DNA. With more than 330 years of heritage, we develop world‑class products and solutions for forest, park, garden and construction care. From robotic lawn mowers to chainsaws and battery‑powered solutions, we continue to shape the future of our industries. Would you like to work in one of Husqvarna’s most technically advanced manufacturing environments? Husqvarna Die Casting & Machining is Northern Europe’s largest and most advanced magnesium foundry, offering a complete in‑house manufacturing process from casting to finished components. Our Die Casting & Machining (D&M) operations in Huskvarna are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help develop future manufacturing processes in a highly automated environment with a strong focus on die casting, machining, automation, digitalisation and industrialisation.

About the role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of our engineering organisation and work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Project Management and R&D. You will play an important role in the industrialisation of new products, developing production processes, verifying technical solutions and supporting the transfer from product development into serial production. This is a role close to both technology and production. You will spend time on the shop floor troubleshooting, investigating quality issues, identifying root causes and developing processes. Your role is not primarily to carry out every practical modification or repair yourself. Instead, you will focus on understanding the technical challenge, defining the right solution and providing the technical input needed for Process Technicians, Maintenance Technicians or external suppliers to implement it. In short, we are looking for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, why they fail and how they can be improved.

Your work may include:

  • Die Casting processes for magnesium and aluminium
  • Die Casting tools and process equipment
  • Automation and robotics
  • CAD and 3D modelling
  • Continuous improvement and production development
  • Investments and industrialisation projects
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
About you

We are looking for someone with a genuine and broad interest in technology. Perhaps you enjoy fixing, building or taking things apart in your spare time simply because you want to understand how they work. You are analytical, curious and comfortable taking initiative. You enjoy solving technical problems and turning them into practical, workable solutions. You also work well with others, communicate easily with different stakeholders and take ownership of your work.

Your skills and background

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent, preferably within Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering or a related field. Good technical understanding and an interest in manufacturing and production processes. Good communication skills in both Swedish and English. Ability to work independently, take initiative and drive your own work forward. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Experience or knowledge within one or more of the following areas is considered an advantage:

  • Die casting
  • Production or manufacturing engineering
  • CAD systems
  • Automation and robotics
  • Tooling or tool design
  • Project management or technical responsibility within projects
Location

This position is based in Huskvarna. As the role involves close collaboration with our manufacturing operations and requires a strong presence on site, you should expect to work from the Huskvarna location on a daily basis. At the same time, we value flexibility and understand that situations may arise where working remotely is needed from time to time.
