Job summary

The Sperton Sweden - Where Great People Meet is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to craft real-time visual effects for immersive experiences. You will lead from concept to production using Unreal Engine 5 and Unity, building Niagara-based effects, materials, and lighting while optimizing for performance.

With 5+ years in real-time VFX, you will prototype ideas, develop shaders, and collaborate across teams to ensure a consistent visual style across environments like projection rooms and LED displays.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing visual effects for real-time environments.
• Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine 5.
• Hands-on experience with Niagara, Materials, Post Process and Blueprints.
• Practical experience producing real-time visual effects in Unity.
• Strong understanding of real-time performance, pipelines, workflows and optimization.
• Expertise in particle effects and node-based shaders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and deliver in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to work on-site in Lund and participate in physical hardware testing.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging visual effects from concept to final production using Unreal Engine and Unity.
• Develop prototypes and evaluate new ideas for interactive experiences.
• Work with Niagara, Materials, Blueprints, Post Process and lighting in Unreal Engine 5.
• Develop particle systems, shaders and advanced visual effects.
• Optimize effects for real-time performance without compromising visual quality.
• Explore and implement new tools, shaders and workflows to improve visual fidelity.
• Collaborate with producers, designers, developers and other stakeholders to achieve a consistent visual style.
• Solve technical challenges and manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
