Job summary

Massive Entertainment in Sweden is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to lead real-time visual effects for our Snowdrop-powered projects. You will create stunning effects that fit the artistic vision and push technical boundaries, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across art, design and engineering.

You will mentor peers, share best practices, and contribute tutorials and guides to our toolchains while balancing quality with performance in a dynamic AAA environment.

Qualifications

• Professional experience with VFX in at least one AAA game development cycle.
• Strong working knowledge of Maya and understanding of engine constraints.
• Portfolio/showreel detailing real-time VFX elements.
• Autonomy in work and ability to present ideas clearly within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Producing realistic looking visual effects
• Planning, estimating and prioritizing tasks
• Optimizing workflows and balancing quality and performance
• Building relationships with Artists, Designers, Technical Artists and Programmers
• Establishing and sharing best practices relating to VFX
• Providing tutorials, documentation and guides of project tools and pipelines
• Mentoring and coaching peers as a Senior VFX Artist
