Job summary

HOCHTIEF is seeking a Technical Package Manager – Special Foundations to join the OL31 project in Vagnhärad, Sweden, and take technical ownership of all special foundation works, coordinating with designers, geotechnical experts and construction teams.

The role requires a senior engineer with proven experience in both design and execution of special foundations, reviewing external designs for constructability, compliance with Eurocodes and Swedish regulations, and guiding critical project

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years in a senior technical role involving special foundations or heavy civil construction.
• Proven experience in both design and execution of special foundation works.
• Demonstrated ability to independently review and validate third-party engineering designs.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical design principles and construction methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical management of the Special Foundations package throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and challenge foundation designs prepared by engineers and designers.
• Perform detailed design reviews for compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Evaluate constructability and technical suitability of proposed foundation solutions.
• Assess geotechnical data, design calculations, and construction methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with Swedish regulations and Eurocodes.
• Provide technical guidance to project management, procurement, and construction teams.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, and geotechnical specialists.
• Monitor site execution to ensure designs are followed and quality is maintained.
