Job summary

HOCHTIEF is leading the OL31 Project in Vagnhärad, Sweden, seeking a Technical Package Manager for Special Foundations. You will own the specialist foundation package, review designs from external designers, and coordinate with clients and contractors to ensure safe, compliant execution.

The role demands extensive experience in piling, deep foundations, ground improvement and earth retention, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years in a senior technical role involving special foundations, geotechnical engineering or heavy civil construction.
• Proven experience designing and executing special foundation works.
• Ability to independently review engineering designs by third parties.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical design principles, structural behavior and construction methods.
• Experience with piling, deep foundations, ground improvement, retaining structures and earth retention.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical management of the Special Foundations package through the project lifecycle.
• Review, verify and challenge foundation designs prepared by consultants.
• Perform detailed design reviews for compliance with standards and project requirements.
• Evaluate constructability and technical suitability of proposed foundations.
• Assess geotechnical reports, design calculations, specs and construction methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with Swedish regulations, Eurocodes and project-specific requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to project management, procurement and construction teams.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, geotechnical specialists and other stakeholders.
• Monitor site execution and ensure works follow approved designs and quality standards.
