Job summary

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a senior R&D/technology leader to drive the development of indexable tools, solid round tools, tooling systems and cutting tool grades. You will align product strategy with market needs, lead diverse technical teams, and shape a customer-focused, digitally enabled organization across Sweden sites (Gimo, Sandviken or Stockholm).

The role requires an advanced technical degree, a proven ability to lead leaders, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

Senior leadership experience from industrial R&D, product development, engineering or another technology-intensive environment.
Fluency in English; Swedish language is an advantage.
Experience leading leaders or large technical teams.
Track record of bringing complex products to market and working with global, matrixed stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

Lead development of indexable tool concepts, solid round tools, tooling systems and cutting tool grades from concept through launch readiness.
Ensure delivery of knowledge, models and data related to product, grade, application and cutting process for internal and external users.
Set and execute a market- and technology-driven strategy and roadmap for technology and knowledge development with sustainability embedded.
Build partnerships and strengthen collaboration within Sandvik as well as with external research ecosystems.
Lead and develop leaders and technical teams, ensure future capabilities and succession, and guide the organization through change.
