Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a senior R&D leader to drive development of our world-leading indexable tools, solid round tools, tooling systems and tool grades. You will lead and transform the organization toward a more customer-focused, digitally enabled, and faster-execution mindset from our sites in Sweden (Sandviken, Stockholm or Gimo).

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in mechanical, materials or production engineering.
• Experience leading leaders or large technical teams.
• Track record of bringing complex products to market and working with global, matrixed stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of indexable tool concepts, solid round tools, tooling systems and cutting tool grades from concept through launch readiness.
• Ensure delivery of knowledge, models and data related to product, grade, application and cutting process, for internal and external users.
• Set and execute a market- and technology-driven strategy and roadmap for technology and knowledge development, with sustainability embedded throughout.
• Build partnerships and strengthen collaboration within Sandvik as well as with external research eco-systems.
• Lead and develop leaders and technical teams, ensure future capabilities and succession, and guide the organization through change.
