Job summary

Schneider Electric in Lund is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join a cloud development team embracing a Shift Left mindset. You will design and execute manual tests, build automated Playwright/TypeScript suites, and work closely with developers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC, including API and UI layers, in a modern tech stack.

The role focuses on web application testing, test strategy, and quality assurance processes with opportunities to mentor peers and influence testing practices

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in QA engineering or software testing for web applications.
• Strong experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Strong experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• A strong desire to continuously learn, improve, and adapt to new technologies, tools, and ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Participate in feature discussions and requirements refinement, ensuring quality considerations are addressed early in the development process.
• Design, prepare, and execute manual test plans for new features and enhancements.
• Maintain and continuously improve manual regression test suites.
• Perform exploratory and functional testing of Fire system applications.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
