Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our DevOps team in Lund. You will help ensure quality across PROD and NON-PROD environments, develop automated tests, and drive testing best practices.

The role emphasizes a Shift Left mindset, using IaC, and collaborating with developers to design reliable tests. Fluency in English required; on-site collaboration in Lund 3x/week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with manual and automated testing of complex Web projects.
• 3+ years of experience working in a DevOps team.
• Write simple, understandable code in TypeScript.
• Desire and ability to regularly learn new technologies and their ecosystems.
• Clearly communicate tech and code decisions both in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor general health of PROD and NON-PROD environments and pipelines and automate tests.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and reproduce complex customer problems in the test environment.
• Represent the Test Discipline in the team in all phases of the development process.
• Coach and guide team members on writing the right type of automated tests.
• Write new automated tests, update and maintain substantial automated test suites.
• Perform Exploratory Verification of new features.
