Job summary

Jobgether, a partner-led fintech platform, is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer based in Sweden. You’ll own end-to-end quality for payment flows, combining exploratory testing with automation-first strategies across APIs and distributed services.

You’ll work with backend engineers and product teams to define acceptance criteria, strengthen quality gates, and contribute to CI/CD release readiness in a cloud-based stack including Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, React, PHP and Playwright.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in QA engineering or similar software quality role.
• Hands-on testing of REST APIs and API-driven workflows.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, RestAssured).
• Ability to diagnose issues via logs, DBs and traces.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality for critical payment journeys.
• Design and execute API-first test strategies (REST/JSON/HTTP).
• Build and maintain automated API/UI test suites using Playwright or RestAssured.
• Develop reusable automation components and test data builders.
• Test integrations with external providers (payment processors, Open Banking).
• Investigate production incidents, reproduce defects, perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to improve testability and acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to release quality gates, regression testing, and CI/CD pre-release validation.
• Identify risks across distributed payment systems and strengthen quality standards.
• Explore AI-assisted QA and automation where beneficial.
