Job description

Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a new team member to join our highly skilled Cloud Development team, where we embrace a Shift Left mindset and build software used in buildings around the world.

We make our own technology and architectural decisions, enjoying both the freedom and responsibility that come with owning our solutions end-to-end. We value clean, simple code and prefer a functional programming style whenever appropriate.

To enable rapid innovation and continuous deployment, we rely heavily on Infrastructure as Code and modern engineering practices. Our backend services are built with C# and ASP.NET Core, using Microsoft SQL Server as our primary database. On the frontend, we use TypeScript and React. Our automated end-to-end UI tests are written using Playwright and TypeScript.

We follow Agile and DevOps ways of working, embracing a Shift Left mindset where quality is a shared responsibility and testing is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.

We are looking for an experienced QA professional with strong expertise in web application testing, test strategy, quality assurance processes, and test automation. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers throughout the software development lifecycle and help drive quality from the earliest stages of development.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in feature discussions and requirements refinement, ensuring quality considerations are addressed early in the development process.
  • Design, prepare, and execute manual test plans for new features and enhancements.
  • Maintain and continuously improve manual regression test suites.
  • Perform exploratory and functional testing of Fire system applications.
  • Create and maintain test reports for feature testing
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve automated test failures across development, test, and production-like environments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, reliability, and overall quality processes.
  • Coach and guide team members on effective testing strategies and on implementing the appropriate levels of automated testing.
Required Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in QA engineering or software testing for web applications.
  • Strong experience in both manual and automated testing.
  • Strong experience with Playwright and Typescript.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • A strong desire to continuously learn, improve, and adapt to new technologies, tools, and ways of working.
What's in it for me?
  • High-impact role where your work directly influences product quality and user satisfaction
  • Supportive team environment that encourages innovation and technical growth
  • Professional development opportunities including training, certifications, and mentorship
  • Flexible work options designed to help you thrive personally and professionally
