Evam builds mission-critical technology for the people who keep society safe. As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll be the person who makes sure our platform behaves correctly when it matters most — when a dispatcher is coordinating an ongoing incident, or when a paramedic is en route to a scene. You'll own the quality strategy across our Spring Boot + Kotlin backend and our React + TypeScript frontend: from test architecture and automation frameworks, to exploratory testing, to release confidence.

We're looking for someone who treats quality as a product property, not a phase at the end of a sprint. You'll partner closely with developers — reading their code, pairing on tricky test scenarios, and shaping how testability is designed into the system. You'll define what good coverage looks like, build the tooling to get there, and challenge the team (kindly but firmly) when something isn't ready to ship.

This is a deeply technical role with real autonomy. You're not just executing test plans — you're setting the engineering bar for quality across the team.

Need to have

• 5+ years of professional QA / test engineering experience, with senior-level depth in test strategy, automation, and quality ownership
• A strong understanding of our stack: you can read and reason about Spring Boot + Kotlin and React + TypeScript in the frontend, and you're comfortable contributing test code in both
• Hands-on experience with modern test automation — API/integration testing, end-to-end testing (Playwright, Cypress, or similar), and component/unit testing
• Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines, test environments, and how to keep a test suite fast, stable, and trusted- Experience with non-functional testing where relevant: performance, load, resilience, observability-driven testing
• AI literacy is a must — you actively use AI assistants (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) in your daily workflow and can show how they change how you design tests, investigate failures, and review code
• Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal — you can write a clear bug report, push back constructively in a review, and explain risk to non-engineers
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and genuine care for what the user experiences

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated, safety-critical, or high-availability domains
• Experience defining QA strategy across multiple teams or services
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, and modern observability tooling
• Experience introducing AI-assisted testing practices at a team or org level
