Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a Senior Piping Process Engineer for a major project in Lund, Sweden. The role covers piping and process design, P&ID development, and technical documentation throughout detailed design, installation and commissioning.

The candidate will coordinate interfaces across disciplines, review engineering outputs, and provide on-site technical support with suppliers and contractors on a hands‑on, multidisciplinary project.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in piping and/or process engineering.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs and piping design principles.
• Experience across the piping project lifecycle.
• Ability to produce and review piping engineering documentation.
• Experience with installation and commissioning activities.
• Capable of working in large multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong communication and independence.

Senior Piping Process Engineer – Contract

7-month initial contract with potential extension

We are looking for an experienced Senior Piping Process Engineer to join a major engineering project in Lund, Sweden.

This is a hands‑on engineering role suited to someone with strong experience across piping and/or process design, who is comfortable working across the full project lifecycle from detailed design through installation and commissioning.

The Role

• Piping and process design activities.
• Development and review of P&IDs.
• Piping layouts, specifications and technical documentation.
• Supporting projects through detailed design, installation and commissioning.
• Coordinating interfaces between piping, process, mechanical and other engineering disciplines.
• Reviewing engineering documentation and ensuring designs meet project requirements.
• Providing technical support during installation and site activities.
• Working with suppliers, contractors and other project stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or a similar discipline.
• 5+ years' experience within piping and/or process engineering.
• Strong understanding of P&IDs and piping design principles.
• Experience across the piping project lifecycle.
• Strong experience producing and reviewing piping engineering documentation.
• Experience supporting installation and commissioning activities.
• Comfortable working within large, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Experience with relevant European piping standards and large-scale industrial, energy, process or research facilities would be highly advantageous.
