Job summary
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Local Product Support team for Live Tank Breakers in Sweden. You will provide hands-on engineering expertise, support product care activities, and collaborate with R&D, global product support, and customers to deliver robust solutions.
The ideal candidate has a degree in mechanical engineering, strong CAD skills (CREO or similar), and experience with high‑voltage equipment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Hands-on mechanical work experience; high-voltage equipment knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient in CAD; ability to produce clear drawings/documentation (CREO or similar).
- Collaborative, proactive communicator in cross-functional and international settings.
- Structured, solution-oriented, capable of working independently and in teams.
- English proficiency and basic Swedish required.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical investigations for complex issues.
- Drive mechanical product improvements to enhance performance and manufacturability.
- Create/maintain drawings and technical documentation to meet quality and compliance needs.
- Collaborate with R&D, Global Product Support, factory teams, customers and suppliers to deliver solutions.
