Job summary

Mynt is expanding its data platform and you will design a new data platform from the ground up, alongside our current solution. You will identify challenges, define and test solutions, and iteratively deliver a platform with robust governance, security, monitoring, and high automation.

You will be one of the founding members of our data platform team in Stockholm, contributing to orchestration, semantic layers, and scalable data models for complex use cases, reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Data engineering experience with production data platforms (GCP/BigQuery Python preferred).
• Data modelling experience in complex domains is essential.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL and MongoDB is an advantage as the tech stack.
• Curiosity and pride in craft; team-first and collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.

About The Role

As Mynt is rapidly expanding in product complexity and customer numbers, data matters more. We are moving from qualitative to quantitative data for understanding customers, products, business and performance. While our platform, with 100+ models in use, serves us well today, this role is here to address the challenges of tomorrow.

We are now investing in our data platform so it can truly scale with us. It will be challenged by a fast product development pace, high customer growth, increasing complexity in use cases and regulatory requirements. It serves internal stakeholders from all departments and external reporting.

You will start designing a new data platform from the ground up, introducing it in parallel with our current solution. Our software architecture for our business systems follows very stringent design patterns which will allow easy data retrieval and high levels of automation. Your job is to identify challenges, define and test solutions, make technological choices and iteratively deliver a data platform that:

• Provides a solid abstraction layer between system-specific data models and the data platform models.
• Defines orchestration and transformation layers, which are currently largely missing.
• Expands and automates the semantic layer, improving support for our heavily used conversational analytics.
• Provides high robustness, strong monitoring and relevant alarms.
• Has a strong governance and security model.

You will be one of the founding members of our data platform and join our technical platform team where you will work with highly competent colleagues building the platform that underpins all of Mynt. We expect to grow the data platform into its own team over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
• A high level of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of building and owning data platforms in production. Preferably using GCP, BigQuery and Python.
• Data modelling experience in complex domains is essential.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL and MongoDB is an advantage as this is the tech stack that our business systems are built upon.
• You have a genuine curiosity for growing as a data engineer and take real pride in your craft, consistently delivering robust, enterprise-grade solutions.
• You have a team-first approach and enjoy solving problems in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• You have a learning and ever-improving mindset and a will to share your insights and improve your surroundings.
• Fluent in Swedish and English
