Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers on data & AI challenges using the company platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for builders who thrive at the intersection of technology and business impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and Spark runtime internals
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
• Experience with MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs
• Design and deployment of end-to-end data architectures combining data pipelines, ML/AI models and UIs

Responsibilities

• Lead production-scale projects by delivering reference architectures and custom applications
• Guide transformational big data projects end-to-end from design to deployment
• Provide architecture guidance and ensure secure, scalable solutions
• Collaborate with engineering, product and customer teams to meet engagement goals
• Offer feedback to product and support teams to improve delivery
• Immerse with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact
• Develop accelerators, frameworks and best practices to scale across accounts
