Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to build agentic AI solutions for enterprise customers. You’ll work with AI tools like Cursor, Claude, and Salesforce coding products, own meaningful components end-to-end, and collaborate with Senior Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Strategists to deliver real customer outcomes.

Design prompts and integration patterns, develop data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake and Databricks, and build dashboards to track KPI health.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience required.
• Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering; able to explain failures.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Comfortable presenting to sales teams and customer architects.
• Willing to travel ~25% to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for customers.
• Design agent intelligence including prompts and tool calls.
• Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to production.
• Build and integrate data pipelines with Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks.
• Create agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs.
• Collaborate with customers and partners to transfer knowledge.
• Surface gaps and provide product feedback.
• Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate challenges into solutions.
