Job summary

Sharkmob AB, a Swedish game developer, is seeking an experienced Senior Character Concept Artist to help set the visual design for a wide range of characters and creatures. You will bring deep game development knowledge and a passion for believable, appealing organic and mechanical forms.

Working under the Art Director, you will define the visual style, mentor teammates, and ensure alignment with outsourcing partners to uphold the artistic vision across projects such as Exoborne.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience working in AAA game development.
• Exceptional character art portfolio showing a wide range of designs.
• Creative mindset toward visual problem solving and iterative work.
• Strong fundamentals in anatomy, form, and industrial design.

Responsibilities

• Create grounded, believable character designs that appeal to a broad market.
• Maintain a consistent visual style aligned with the Art Direction.
• Communicate progress with the Art Director and Character Team.
• Collaborate with the wider art team and other disciplines to clarify requirements.
