Job summary
Ultra Group in Gothenburg, Sweden, seeks a seasoned BMS Validation Engineer to drive validation activities for battery management systems in electrified powertrains. You will design validation docs, develop software, SIL/HIL models and test scripts, and lead verification & validation from design to delivery of advanced systems.
You will collaborate with engineers, support test automation, and ensure conformance to project timelines while leveraging MATLAB/Simulink, CAPL, Python and CAN tools.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience of automotive systems.
- 3+ years in BMS or Powertrain/Body/Chassis domains.
- Experience testing components (Sensors & ECUs) and system level.
- Knowledge of BMS and electrified powertrains.
- Proficiency in HIL models, test scripts and components development.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow and Vector tools.
- Strong test automation experience with Python and Robot Framework.
Responsibilities
- Validation of battery management software in electrified powertrains.
- Execution of software test plans within project timelines and budget.
- Development of test procedures and HIL upgrades.
- Plant modeling and collaboration with third‑party engineering services for test automation.
- Lead and prioritize day‑to‑day engineering activities.
