Job summary

NordAxon AB is seeking a Senior Data Engineer – AI & Machine Learning to design and build scalable data architectures and production pipelines that power AI/ML solutions. You will collaborate with AI/ML Engineers, Data Scientists and Software Engineers through the full lifecycle from data ingestion to deployment.

You will work across data lakehouse and data warehouse architectures, ensuring data quality, reliability and observability while using modern data technologies and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience within Data Engineering or related field.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency with production-grade data pipelines experience.
• Experience with cloud data platforms on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouses.
• Hands-on knowledge of modern AI data needs (LLMs, generative AI) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data architectures and production-grade data pipelines for AI/ML applications.
• Build robust ETL/ELT processes for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.
• Design and implement modern data lake, lakehouse and data warehouse architectures.
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Prepare and transform data for ML, predictive analytics and generative AI.
• Develop ingestion pipelines for LLMs, RAG, vector databases and AI agents.
• Work with batch and real-time data; ensure data quality and observability.
• Implement scalable cloud-based data solutions and DataOps practices.
