Job summary

NordAxon AB, a Sweden-based, AI-native consultancy, seeks a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, develop and deploy AI solutions in close collaboration with cross‑functional teams and clients. The role blends software engineering with ML, Generative AI, and cloud technologies to build scalable, production‑grade AI systems.

You will work on AI-powered applications, LLMs, RAG, and AI agents, deploying models into production while integrating with APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in AI Engineering, ML, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying production‑grade AI solutions
• Hands‑on experience with modern AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar
• Experience developing solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents
• Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience integrating AI solutions with APIs, databases, modern software architectures, and data engineering pipelines
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, vector databases, MLOps, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and software engineering best practices
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills in English

About the Role

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will work closely with other AI/ML Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and of course our customers and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions that solve real business challenges.

This is a hands‑on engineering and developer role where you will combine Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and cloud technologies to build scalable, maintainable, and production‑grade AI systems.

Your responsibilities include:

Who We Are Looking For

You are an experienced AI/ML Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building intelligent systems that create measurable business value. You are curious, pragmatic, and passionate about applying the latest AI technologies in production environments.

You bring:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying production‑grade AI solutions
