Job summary

NordAxon AB in Sweden is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience to design, develop and deploy AI-powered solutions. This hands‑on role combines software engineering with generative AI, LLMs, and cloud technologies to deliver production‑grade systems for customers.

You will work with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business challenges into robust, scalable architectures, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to NordAxon's

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in AI/ML or related fields.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience designing and deploying production‑grade AI solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
• Experience developing solutions using LLMs, Generative AI, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents.
• Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, vector databases, MLOps, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and software engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

About the Role

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will work closely with other AI/ML Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and of course our customers and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions that solve real business challenges.

This is a hands‑on engineering and developer role where you will combine Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and cloud technologies to build scalable, maintainable, and production‑grade AI systems.

Your responsibilities include:

Who We Are Looking For

You are an experienced AI/ML Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building intelligent systems that create measurable business value. You are curious, pragmatic, and passionate about applying the latest AI technologies in production environments.

You bring:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying production‑grade AI solutions
• Hands‑on experience with modern AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar
• Experience developing solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents
• Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience integrating AI solutions with APIs, databases, modern software architectures, and data engineering pipelines
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, vector databases, MLOps, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and software engineering best practices
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills in English
