Job summary

Telia is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Developer to join our Infra Digital Evolution & Automation team. You will craft production-ready agentic AI solutions, build integrations with enterprise systems, and collaborate across Data Science, Engineering, and BI to deliver robust, scalable AI-powered workflows.

You’ll design architecture and infrastructure for secure, scalable AI, optimize capacity, and ensure safe operation across telco workflows. Fluency in Swedish and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and operating AI/ML platforms.
• Experience with cloud or on-premises infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Strong backend development skills and software engineering discipline.
• Excellent collaboration and ability to explain architectural decisions.
• Fluent Swedish and English communication.

We’re looking for a Senior Agentic AI Developer to join us at Telia.

I’m Niklas Ballay, Head of Infra Digital Evolution & Automation, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team that turns data, AI and automation into secure, scalable solutions with measurable value across Telia Infra.

What you’ll do:

You will develop production-ready agentic AI-solutions as well as establish and evolve the technical foundation for agentic AI, from architecture to technical infrastructure, enabling a secure, scalable and reliable workflow.

• Develop Agentic AI solutions for a large organization, simplifying day-to-day business and exploring new ways of utilizing AI to transform our ways of working
• Build integrations with existing IT systems, data sources, APIs, automation platforms and event-driven services, enabling AI agents to act safely across enterprise workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, automation specialists, web developers and Business Intelligence colleagues to turn business needs into robust solutions.
• Design and establish the architecture, infrastructure and operating environment required to develop, deploy and scale agentic AI solutions.
• Translate capacity needs into effective use of available hardware, compute and storage, balancing performance, scalability, security and cost.

You combine deep technical expertise with curiosity, humility and a collaborative mindset. You can set direction and work hands-on, while actively involving specialists with complementary expertise.

• Proven experience in designing and operating AI/ML platforms, cloud or on-premises infrastructure, distributed systems, or production-grade software platforms.
• Strong knowledge of agentic AI, LLM-based systems, agent orchestration, RAG, model serving, containerization and modern backend development, and an eagerness to learn more and develop in this field.
• Hands-on ability with Python, Data Science libraries, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes or similar orchestration, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and observability.
• Understanding of hardware and capacity planning for AI workloads, including compute accelerators, memory, storage, networking, performance and cost trade-offs.
• Ability to create secure interfaces to existing IT systems, APIs and automation solutions, and to design guardrails, logging, evaluation, access control and human oversight.
• Experience in developing backend services and, when needed, lightweight web or interacting applications; knowledge of event-driven architecture and open-source AI ecosystems is an advantage.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to explain architectural decisions, learn from others and create reusable capabilities that enable Data Scientists, Data Engineers and developers.
• Fluency in Swedish and English.
