Job summary

ABB’s Malmö-based R&D leadership role seeks an experienced manager to lead three teams within the Control Safety and Integration area of ABB’s DCS organization. You will coach, develop, and plan portfolio, aligning with long-term technology roadmap and driving innovation.

You’ll recruit, allocate work, set salaries, and collaborate with global teams while fostering a high-performance culture in a dynamic, industrial automation environment. Fluent English and Swedish are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in software development or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, preferably line management in a global org.
• Extensive R&D and product development experience in tech-driven env.
• Strong communication; coaching, developing and growing teams.
• Innovative, collaborative, able to navigate dynamic internal/external stakeholders.
• Experience in industrial automation and functional safety is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Full personnel responsibility: recruitment, work allocation, skills development, salary setting.
• Plan and maintain a project portfolio for the team.
• Develop and secure future competencies for next-generation products and systems.
• Support ongoing change initiatives with leadership and collaboration.
• Ensure the team aligns with ABB’s long-term technology roadmap.
