Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC) has a consulting assignment available for an experienced Project Manager to support a technical product development project involving hardware, embedded firmware and small electric motor systems.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate an early-stage product development project.

The assignment will initially focus on a feasibility and pre-study phase, where the successful consultant will help assess the technical and commercial viability of the project, define the required investment, identify risks and prepare the necessary business and decision-making material for senior management.

The project involves a combination of hardware/PCB development, embedded firmware and small electric motor technology. This project requires strong coordination between both internal engineering teams and production stakeholders.

Following the initial feasibility phase, there is strong potential for the assignment to continue supporting ongoing project management, communication, documentation and process improvement activities.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management or a similar role.
• Previous hands-on experience or strong technical understanding of either hardware, electronics, embedded firmware or software development.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary product development projects.
• Ability to understand, review and challenge technical work without necessarily being responsible for the hands-on engineering.
• Strong experience coordinating internal stakeholders, suppliers and external engineering partners.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, risks, budgets and deliverables.
• Strong experience producing and managing technical and project documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in an environment where project requirements and processes are still being established.
• Experience with small electric motors or motor drive systems.
• Experience leading feasibility studies, pre-studies or early-stage product development projects.
• Experience working across hardware, firmware and mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Experience in supplier management, technical requirements specification and design reviews.
• Experience within the automotive or another regulated industry.
• Previous experience preparing business cases, investment proposals or decision material for senior management.
• Experience working with external development consultancies or offshore production teams.
