Job description

atNorth is a leading Nordic data center company providing cost-effective, scalable high-density colocation and built-to-suit services to industry-leading organizations across Iceland, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark.

With sustainability at our core, our data centers run on renewable energy and are designed according to circular economy principles. Through innovative design, power efficiency, and intelligent operations, we deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure.

Headquartered in Reykjavik, Iceland, atNorth operates eight data centers across the Nordics, with additional sites under development in Finland, Denmark, and Sweden.

We combine world-class technology with a people-first culture built on collaboration, ownership, and trust, empowering our teams to grow, take responsibility, and make a real impact.

By joining our international team, you will help shape the future of sustainable digital infrastructure.

PMO Manager at atNorth

As a PMO Manager at atNorth, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of large-scale development projects across our growing data center portfolio. Acting as a bridge between project teams and senior management, you will translate complex project information into clear business insights and help ensure informed decision-making across the organization.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced project professional who enjoys working closely with project teams, solving delivery challenges, and driving execution. While the role includes exposure to senior stakeholders and opportunities to influence project outcomes, success comes from actively engaging with project teams and supporting delivery on the ground rather than operating purely from a governance perspective.

We are looking for someone who can quickly understand complex project environments, build credibility with stakeholders at all levels, and provide practical guidance and challenge to project teams. You will partner closely with Project Delivery Directors and project teams on a day-to-day basis, helping to improve delivery performance and outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of the delivery of some of the most significant data center development projects in the Nordics. You will have visibility across a portfolio of complex, high-value projects while playing an active role in helping teams navigate challenges and achieve successful results.

Key responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted partner to Project Delivery Directors and project teams, providing practical guidance, challenge, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with project teams to identify risks, dependencies, delivery challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate technical project information into clear, business-focused insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Support the development of project reviews, business cases, governance materials, and executive-level reporting.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project teams, commercial stakeholders, and leadership forums.
  • Drive consistency in project controls, reporting, planning, and governance across the project portfolio.
  • Develop practical tools, templates, and training materials that support high-quality project delivery.
  • Support and challenge project planning and schedules, helping teams identify critical milestones, dependencies, risks, and potential delivery impacts.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes, methodologies, and ways of working.
  • Provide constructive challenge to strengthen project planning, execution, decision-making, and delivery outcomes.
Your profile
  • Several years of experience in project management, project controls, PMO, project services, or project delivery roles within large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, data center, energy, pharmaceutical, or similar capital project environments.
  • Strong understanding of how large capital projects are planned, governed, scheduled, and delivered, including familiarity with construction scheduling principles such as critical path, milestones, dependencies, and schedule risk.
  • Experience working closely with both project delivery teams and senior business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical project topics into clear business language.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build credibility, and drive alignment across different functions.
  • Experience developing presentations, governance materials, business cases, reports, and executive-level communications.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex project situations and identify key risks, opportunities, and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work hands-on with project teams and engage in the day-to-day realities of project delivery.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfortable operating in evolving international environments and driving continuous improvement.
  • Fluency in English.
