Swisslog in Sweden is seeking a Controls Software Development Engineer to design, implement, and maintain PLC-based controls software for pallet storage systems. You will build reliable, scalable software libraries and collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate hardware and software.

You will test, debug, and document software, identify defects, and contribute to standards and best practices. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience with automation and Siemens TIA Portal are

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Software/Electrical/Mechatronics/Automation engineering.
Experience in software development or controls engineering for automation.
Strong PLC programming and automation knowledge, preferably Siemens TIA Portal.
Ability to read electrical schematics and collaborate with electrical teams.
Fluent English communication.

Responsabilités

Develop, maintain, and improve PLC-based controls software for pallet storage systems.
Create, maintain configurable software libraries and reusable components.
Support design, implementation, and validation of engineering solutions.
Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and reliability.
Identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Contribute to engineering standards, specifications, and development best practices.
Prepare technical documentation and reports.
