Job description

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

Healthcare is changing: Novel personalized treatments, increasing patient empowerment, multiple channels of information, lack of resources in healthcare and pressure on public spending are key themes driving the change. As a result of this, the needs of our stakeholders continue to evolve.

As the Patient Journey Partner Hematology (PJP) you will collaborate closely with all Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) directly impacting the patient journey within a specific therapeutic or disease area. Operating within a cross-functional business team, you are accountable for gaining and applying a deep understanding of patient needs, their environment and the stakeholders who serve them. This deep understanding is crucial for driving maximum value for patients, the healthcare system and Roche.

You are the external face of Roche and a central link within the organization, bringing in actionable customer insights. Empowered to pull in expertise and resources locally and from the network as needed, this unique position allows you to drive value creation—by both offering world-class therapies and co-create with stakeholders on meaningful solutions. Ultimately, the PJP is directly accountable for delivering better outcomes for patients, the ecosystem and the organization faster. This is achieved primarily through consistent, strategic and high-impact external engagement with HCPs, aiming to accelerate the broad patient access and clinical adoption of Roche's therapies.

This role is local and field based, characterized by a high degree of external focus. A minimum of 80% of the working time is dedicated to customer-facing activities (e.g., meeting preparation, customer visits, and reporting of visits/insights).

The Opportunity
  • Establish Strategic Networks & Partnerships: Act as the Primary Point of Contact (PPOC) and trusted partner for HCPs and key accounts across the patient journey. Build and nurture long-term external networks, ensuring positive engagement experiences with Roche's employees, products, and services
  • Drive Product Positioning and Clinical Adoption: Position Roche products appropriately and with conviction and confidence, catalysing necessary changes in clinical practice
  • Co-create Meaningful Solutions: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to remove roadblocks and unlock possibilities. Co-create meaningful solutions that deliver maximum value for patients, the community, and Roche
  • Generate Actionable Insights: Continuously identify quality insights on patient, HCP, and market needs. Act as the vital link, bringing external insights into Roche to inform strategic priorities and account-level planning, while sharing Roche’s expertise outwards
  • Provide Stakeholder-informed Strategy: By deeply understanding stakeholder needs and communication preferences, the PJP advises Marketers on essential multi-channel campaign delivery and executes these deliveries, as needed, to effectively educate and engage stakeholders
  • Maximize Customer Engagement: Plan and deliver meaningful, regular interactions aligned with HCP preferences to enhance trust in Roche therapies and drive better patient outcomes
  • Develop & Execute Territory Strategy: Analyze and monitor progress for the territory and key accounts to develop and execute strategic account plans, achieving disease area mid-term and short-term outcomes. This includes accountability for profiling, segmenting and targeting of customers
  • Commit to External Focus and Growth: Ensure an external focus in all activities. Use technology and prioritization to minimize time spent on administrative tasks. Drive a robust development plan to support achievement of job standards and increased performance year over year
Who You Are
  • Education & Experience: University degree (scientific, pharmacy, business/marketing, or MD) with 2-5+ years in roles such as Key Account Manager, Product Manager, Omnichannel Manager, MSL, or Medical Advisor
  • Therapeutic Focus: Direct experience within Hematology or Oncology is required
  • Compliance: LIF certification (via an approved MGU or University degree), with full compliance in Swedish pharmaceutical regulations
  • Territory & Mobility: Willingness and flexibility for frequent travel across a broad region (Stockholm & Northern Sweden)
  • Skills & Competencies: Highly self-managed, a deep listener, and skilled at building HCP partnerships. Strong business acumen across commercial, medical affairs, and customer experience
  • Ecosystem Leadership: Adept at mobilizing cross-functional teams and navigating complex healthcare networks
  • Languages & Tools: Fluent in Swedish and English, with proficiency in digital engagement tools
