Job summary

KoBold Metals is seeking a Field Operations Lead to plan and execute field activities across Sweden, reporting to the Field Operations Director North America & Europe. You will lead 1–3 projects per year, spanning Sweden and possibly other Nordic jurisdictions, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient field campaigns.

The role emphasizes winter construction, procurement oversight, and collaboration with geologists and data scientists to optimize exploration outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive field operations leadership experience across exploration or mining projects.
• Strong planning and execution skills for complex field campaigns.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and contract administration.
• Proven health and safety leadership with incident investigation experience.
• Ability to communicate in Swedish and English at a professional level.

Responsibilities

• Plan complex exploration projects in Sweden, including drills and surveys.
• Lead 1–3 concurrent projects with accountability for scope, cost and schedule.
• Direct procurement strategies: contractor selection, bid evaluation and contracts.
• Ensure field activities comply with Swedish regulatory standards and safety practices.
• Mentor field operation staff and integrate data-science inputs into field plans.
• Coordinate with geologists, data scientists and planners for lifecycle phases.
