Job description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced HSE Officer to join our Geochemistry division in the Nordics, based in Piteå.

Responsibilities

• Drive and develop a strong HSE, sustainability, and compliance culture.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, internal policies, and global standards.
• Implement and monitor HSE programs, processes, and ways of working across sites and the region.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident management, and preventive actions to reduce injuries and risks.
• Support the business in interactions with regulators and relevant authorities.
• Participate in and lead internal and external HSE audits.
• Ensure HSE training and awareness programmes are delivered and followed up.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Several years of experience working with HSE and a solid understanding of relevant legislation and standards.
• Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across functions and levels.
• Structured, able to plan and drive work independently.
• Analytical and solution‑oriented.
• Responsible, detail‑oriented, and professional.
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Finnish is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel within the Nordic region.

About the Role

This is a permanent full‑time position based in Piteå, Sweden, with a 6‑month trial period.
