Job summary

JBT Marel in Helsingborg, Sweden, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. You will lead mechanical design activities for customer projects and adapt large-scale machinery to client requirements using 3D CAD.

This hands-on role works closely with production, testing, and suppliers. English fluency is required, Swedish is a plus. Based in Helsingborg with easy access from Malmö and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in mechanical design for industrial machinery, sheet metal, or automation are an advantage.
• Solid experience with 3D CAD (Creo and Windchill strongly preferred).
• Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities for customer projects.
• Design and adapt large-scale industrial machinery to customer requirements using 3D CAD.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to questions from customers and suppliers.
• Drive product improvements and contribute to R&D and innovation initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, testing, and supplier teams.
• Take ownership of project progress and coordinate internally.
• Support continuous improvement across mechanical design standards and solutions.
