Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our Helsingborg team, designing, building and testing advanced industrial food processing equipment. You’ll lead mechanical design for customer projects and own progress from concept through on-site testing.

The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering, 2+ years of design experience, and strong CAD skills (Creo and Windchill preferred). English fluency is essential; Swedish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial machinery, sheet metal or automation.
• Solid experience with 3D CAD; Creo and Windchill strongly preferred.
• Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities for customer projects.
• Design and adapt large-scale industrial machinery using 3D CAD.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to engineering questions.
• Drive product improvements and contribute to R&D initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, testing and suppliers.
• Take ownership of project progress and coordinate internally.
• Support continuous improvement of mechanical design standards.
