Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Helsingborg team in Sweden. This hands-on role involves turning designs into real machines on the shop floor, collaborating with production, testing, and suppliers.

You will lead mechanical design activities, adapt large-scale machinery to customer specs, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements while coordinating with multiple teams. English fluency required; Swedish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in mechanical design for industrial machinery, sheet metal, or automation is helpful.
• Solid experience with 3D CAD (Creo and Windchill strongly preferred).
• Experience working in a production-oriented engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities for customer projects of varying scale.
• Design and adapt large‑scale industrial machinery to customer requirements using 3D CAD.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to engineering questions from customers and suppliers.
• Drive product improvements and contribute to R&D and innovation initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, testing, and supplier teams.
• Take ownership of project progress by coordinating internally and gathering information.
• Support continuous improvement across mechanical design standards and solutions.
