Job summary

Ingka Centres is seeking a Markets Concept & Development Leader to base in Malmö, Sweden. You will act as a key business partner and link global resources, market leadership and Meeting Places on concept and development topics, always focusing on the customer journey and IKEA concept.

You will collaborate across markets to identify needs, drive deployment of Meeting Place solutions with local teams, and ensure the customer journey aligns with the concept framework, while coordinating

• Perform the Meeting Place Concept Review with key stakeholders.
• Coordinate transformation initiation phases across the market with design and development teams.
• Create improvement plans for different parts of the customer journey.
• Guide local teams in simple, effective, and consistent ways of working.
• Drive alignment, learning, and continuous improvement across countries and functions.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

• Solid experience in concept development, business development, customer experience, retail, real estate, meeting places, or a similar area
• Experience in translating strategic direction into practical implementation
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end customer journey in physical environments
• Experience from leading and developing people, teams, or cross-functional initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trustful relationships
• A structured way of working, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in driving continuous improvement and creating simple, effective ways of working
• The ability to work across countries, functions, and different business needs
• A strong connection to IKEA values and a passion for creating a better everyday life for the many people

Key responsibilities (title) Your responsibilities

As a Markets Concept & Development Leader, you will act as a key business partner and be part of the Markets Leadership Team. You will be the link between global resources, the market leadership team and our Meeting Places on topics connected to concept and development. Your role is to support the development and implementation of Meeting Place solutions across the market, always with the customer journey, business needs and IKEA concept in focus.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate closely with Meeting Places across the market to identify needs and translate them into clear development proposals.
• Support and drive the deployment of Meeting Place solutions together with local teams and market leadership.
• Secure that the total customer journey in the Meeting Place follows the Meeting Place concept framework.
• Perform the Meeting Place Concept Review in close collaboration with the Meeting Place Review Leader and other stakeholders.
• Support the coordination of transformation initiation phases across the market, in collaboration with design and development teams.
• Create improvement plans for different parts of the customer journey.
• Guide local teams in simple, effective, and consistent ways of working.
• Drive alignment, learning, and continuous improvement across countries and functions through usage of best practice sharing.

You will play an important role in making sure that our Meeting Places stay attractive, competitive and relevant today and tomorrow.
