Job summary

IKEA Barkarby is seeking a Creative Visual Merchandising Manager to shape the shopping experience. You will lead about 10 Visual Merchandisers, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, based in Barkarby, Stockholm, with a fixed-term contract for 8 months.

The role covers store solutions, visual presentations, the commercial calendar, budgeting, and collaboration with Sales, Logistics and Customer Experience, while supporting development of your team.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience in Visual Merchandising and leadership within retail.
• Ability to blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution and change leadership.
• Fluency in Swedish and/or English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to solutions throughout the store that ensure an excellent shopping experience for IKEA customers.
• Plan and implement strong visual presentations adapted to the store layout.
• Drive the commercial calendar and work with store design and planning.
• Ensure drawings, planning processes, timelines, and budgets are in place and followed.

Team vision and mission (text) - en_UK / en_INTERNATIONAL You will be part of the Communication & Interior Design function, where co-workers within Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Graphic Communication, and Carpentry work closely together to create inspiring customer experiences.
You will lead a team of approximately 10 Visual Merchandisers who report directly to you. You will be expected to coach and develop them in line with IKEA's People Idea and values.
This is a full‑time fixed‑term position for 8 months, based in Barkarby, Stockholm, with a preferred start date as soon as possible, according to agreement. The position involves daytime work on weekdays.
