Job summary

Capgemini AB in Gothenburg is seeking a Junior HIL Engineer / V&V Tester to engage in software testing for leading automotive partners. Candidates should hold a YH diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering and have 2-5 years of experience in HIL or SIL test environments.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in HIL or SIL test environments.
• Experience with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and requirements handling.
• Experience working in vehicle environments and understanding of automotive safety standards (e.g. ISO 26262) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate software components.
• Conduct tests to validate and verify software and hardware performance.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues to enhance system reliability.
• Work hands‑on with maintaining and troubleshooting existing HILs, as well as supporting the build of new ones.
• Apply analytical mindset to solve complex challenges.

Skills

Hands‑on experience with HIL tools (dSPACE, National Instruments, Vector)

Knowledge of programming languages (Python, C++, C#, CAPL)

Basic understanding of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, UDS)

Experience in CI/CD and version control systems

Ability to troubleshoot software-related issues

Education

YH diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanics, Software)
