Job summary

Oticon Medical in Gothenburg, Sweden, is seeking an IT Support Technician (Level 1 & 2) to maintain and support IT equipment and services. You will deliver first- and second-level support to end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and contribute to IT service improvements.

The role reports to the IT Manager within a global company. You will work at our Sisjön office, providing hardware maintenance, security of networks, and user training as part of a collaborative IT team.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, computer science, or related field appreciated, but equivalent experience will be considered.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar IT support role is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, commission, and monitor new IT equipment and systems.
• On-site or remote intervention to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Perform regular updates on workstations and hardware maintenance.
• Ensure the security of company networks and data.
• Implement IT solutions to provide resources for employees and improve IT services.
• Train staff after installation of new equipment and promote best practices.
• Identify obsolescence and provide reports to support renewal of IT infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage IT inventory and stock levels.

Oticon Medical BAHS specializes in developing, producing, and distributing advanced bone-anchored hearing systems, including long-term implants, sound processors, software, and surgical tools.

We are a global leader in hearing solutions, located in Sisjön Gothenburg, and we are currently looking for an IT Support Technician (Level 1 & 2) to ensure the technical maintenance of all IT equipment within the company and guarantee the proper functioning and reliability of each device.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will play a key role in delivering first- and second-level support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• The assembly, installation, commissioning, and monitoring of new IT equipment and systems.
• On-site or remote intervention on employees’ equipment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Hardware maintenance, including performing regular updates on employees’ workstations.
• Ensuring the security of the company’s networks and data.
• Implementing IT solutions to provide employees with the necessary resources to perform their tasks, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Training staff members following the installation of new equipment and raising awareness about best practices for maintaining IT hardware.
• Identifying equipment obsolescence and providing reports to management to support partial or full renewal of the IT infrastructure.
• Monitoring and managing IT inventory and stock levels.

Your profile

• A degree in IT, computer science, or a related field (Bac+2 or higher) is appreciated, but equivalent experience or a strong interest in IT environments will also be considered.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in English
• Strong technical knowledge of IT environments, operating systems, networks, and infrastructure solutions
