Job summary

Saab AB is seeking a visionary Head of IT Strategy within the CIO Office to lead a Saab-wide mandate for IT strategy, portfolio management and vendor management. You will translate business priorities into strategic IT direction, investment planning and supplier relationships to maximize long-term value.

You will define enterprise-wide IT strategies, establish planning frameworks and roadmaps, and collaborate with business leaders and technology teams across a decentralised IT organisation.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and talent development skills.
• Extensive experience within IT strategy, business transformation or enterprise planning.
• Experience defining enterprise strategies and technology roadmaps.
• Experience establishing planning frameworks, portfolio review processes and investment prioritisation practices.
• Understanding of portfolio management, lifecycle considerations and dependencies.
• Strong understanding of IT strategy, technology investment planning and business-technology alignment.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
• Experience from large, complex and global organisations; defence/regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the IT strategy agenda; align with Saab's business priorities and technology direction.
• Define enterprise-wide IT strategies and strategic planning frameworks.
• Shape technology investment priorities and strategic roadmaps.
• Create transparency across priorities, investments and dependencies.
• Support senior leaders in strategic decision-making and technology planning.
• Drive alignment between business objectives, transformation initiatives and technology investments.
• Travel to meet with teams and stakeholders across Saab.
