Job summary

Saab, a leading defense and security company, invites a strategic Head of Supply Chain to build a ground-up function within FCC COO Office. The role focuses on vision, governance, and operating models for Supply Chain, later expanding to lead a dedicated team and support growth and operational excellence.

Key focus areas include sourcing strategies, material flow optimization, supplier collaboration, inventory performance, and outsourcing initiatives, ensuring material availability and delivery

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement or manufacturing.
• Experience in a product-oriented organization with close engineering, sourcing and production interaction.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement track record.
• Sourcing strategies, outsourcing projects or supplier transitions are a plus.
• Strong understanding of material flows, supplier management, and production processes.
• Ability to blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Strong business sense and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with ERP like IFS or SAP or similar.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic collaboration between Supply Chain, Procurement, Production and Engineering.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for PCBA, cable assemblies and make-to-stock.
• Optimize material flows and interfaces across the value chain.
• Lead outsourcing initiatives with Procurement and stakeholders.
• Support supplier quality and performance with SQM/SQE and Procurement.
• Advance Net Working Capital and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Establish scalable supply chain processes and governance.
• Build efficient operational structures and drive improvements in Supply Chain.
• Contribute to long-term capability development aligned with strategy.
• Lead with Saab values and foster a high-performing culture.
