Job description

Want to influence the bigger picture? At Saab, you can realise amazing innovations that keep people and societies safe. Together, we can truly make an impact - and your part matters.

We are looking for a driven and strategic Head of Supply Chain to join the FCC COO Office and play a key role in establishing and developing a new Supply Chain capability within a technology and production-oriented environment.

Your role

This is a unique opportunity to build a Supply Chain function from the ground up. Initially, the role will operate as a standalone function with responsibility for defining the vision, strategy, governance and operating model for Supply Chain within FCC. As the function matures, the ambition is to gradually build and lead a dedicated Supply Chain team, creating the capabilities required to support future business growth and operational excellence.

The Supply Chain function is being established to strengthen collaboration across Procurement, Production and Engineering while creating scalable and efficient ways of working that support both current and future business needs. The initial focus will be on sourcing strategies, material flow optimization, supplier collaboration, inventory performance and outsourcing initiatives, ensuring that production operations are supported with the right material availability, quality and delivery precision.

You will operate in a product-oriented organization where close collaboration between product development, sourcing and manufacturing is essential to ensure efficient industrialization, resilient supply chains and long-term product lifecycle support.

As Head of Supply Chain, you will play a central role in shaping the future Supply Chain agenda for FCC. The role combines strategic development, capability building and operational execution, requiring close collaboration with Procurement, Production, Engineering and other key stakeholders across the business.

Since the function is in an early stage of development, the role offers a significant opportunity to influence both strategic direction and organizational setup. Strong leadership, change management and stakeholder management capabilities will therefore be critical to success.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Driving strategic collaboration between Supply Chain, Procurement, Production and Engineering.
  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies within areas such as PCBA, cable assemblies and make-to-stock.
  • Optimizing material flows and operational interfaces across the value chain.
  • Executing outsourcing initiatives together with Procurement and relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting and coordinating supplier quality and supplier performance activities together with SQM/SQE and Procurement.
  • Driving Net Working Capital (NWC) and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Establishing scalable supply chain processes, governance and ways of working.
  • Developing efficient operational structures and driving continuous improvements within the Supply Chain area.
  • Contributing to long-term supply chain capability development aligned with business strategy and future growth.
  • Leading according to company values and contributing to a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Your profile

We envision a collaborative and forward-looking environment where leadership, structure and continuous improvement are key success factors. We believe that you are a strategic and business-oriented person with the ability to combine long-term thinking with operational execution. You are a confident communicator who builds strong relationships across functions and drives change together with others.

  • Master of Science in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Management or equivalent experience.
  • Several years of experience within Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement or Manufacturing in an industrial or technical environment.
  • Experience from working in a product-oriented organization with close interaction between engineering, sourcing and production.
  • Experience from driving cross-functional collaboration and operational improvements.
  • Experience from sourcing strategies, outsourcing projects or supplier transitions is considered highly meritorious.
  • Strong understanding of material flows, supplier management and production-related processes.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
  • Strong business understanding and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience from ERP systems such as IFS, SAP or equivalent.
  • Fluently skills in spoken and written English and Swedish.
