Job summary

Basta Kitchen, part of Urban Italian Group, is seeking a Head Chef to lead a busy kitchen with discipline and pride. You will oversee prep, service and daily operations, ensuring top quality and consistency across dishes.

We value structure, ownership and the energy of a connected team. You will coach chefs, manage stock and food cost, and partner with the General Manager to drive strong restaurant performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as Head Chef or senior kitchen leader.
• Ability to manage high-volume services and maintain standards.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team through prep, service and daily operations.
• Deliver consistent food quality, presentation and standards.
• Coach, train and develop chefs across sections.
• Manage stock, ordering, waste and food cost with attention to detail.
• Ensure hygiene, safety and compliance standards at all times.
• Collaborate with General Manager to drive restaurant performance.
• Foster a positive, hardworking kitchen culture based on teamwork.
