Job summary

Basta, part of Urban Italian Group, is seeking a Head Chef to keep the kitchen running smoothly through busy services and to mentor the team with a focus on high standards and discipline.

You will manage stock, costs and compliance while delivering consistent, high-quality food and a positive kitchen culture in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior kitchen leader.
• Ability to lead a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Knowledge of food cost, stock control, ordering and profitability.
• Ability to train, coach and motivate a team with clear standards.
• Leads by example and stays calm under pressure.
• Pride in consistency, cleanliness and operational discipline.
• Believes great kitchens are built through teamwork, ownership and respect.

The Role

As Head Chef, You will be responsible for keeping the kitchen running smoothly through busy services, supporting and developing your team, and making sure our food standards are delivered with pride and discipline. This is a role for someone who enjoys structure, ownership and the pace of a high-volume restaurant.
