Job summary

Volvo Group in Eskilstuna, Sweden, invites applications for the 2027 Graduate Program: Associate Commodity Buyer. The 15‑month program blends department work with structured training, rotations locally and internationally, and exposure to operations, engineering and purchasing.

You will build a broad understanding of Volvo Group, its brands and strategy from day one. As a Commodity Buyer, you lead sourcing strategies, manage supplier relations, support negotiations and drive cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed before program start.
• Analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends and support decisions.
• Strong problem-solving with proactive risk/opportunity management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel and participate in international assignments.
• Experience with AI is a plus.
• Cross-functional and international work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing strategy creation and implementation within the SGC scope.
• Manage supplier relationships as Supplier Host.
• Support or lead supplier negotiations and drive cost optimization.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement actions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the VCE organization.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks for business continuity.
• Drive continuous improvement and deployment of digitalization/AI tools.
