Job summary

MSC Sweden is seeking a driven Trade Assistant to join our Trade Management team. You will handle pricing requests, quotations and tenders, while building market knowledge to identify commercial opportunities and support profitable growth.

You will work closely with Trade Managers and other departments to resolve challenges, support business planning and reporting, and maintain accurate contract data. A university degree in a related field and strong English skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience within the shipping industry or related trade roles.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proactive and self‑motivated with ownership mindset.
• Strong interpersonal and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and data handling.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage pricing requests, quotations and tenders with timely, competitive responses.
• Build market and customer knowledge to identify opportunities and support growth.
• Collaborate with Trade Managers and other departments to resolve challenges.
• Support business plans, analysis, reporting and commercial follow-up.
• Maintain accurate data on contracts, rates and trade information.
