Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a Global Technical Service Engineer in Örebro to support and train service technicians worldwide, and to voice customer needs in product development.

You will work hands-on with drilling equipment, automation, electrification and autonomous solutions, travel 50–70 days per year, and collaborate across Product Companies in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Robotics, Automation or Electricals, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide global technical support for Surface Drilling equipment and systems, remotely and on site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with customer centers and service organizations worldwide.
• Conduct technical and operator training sessions for service technicians and customers.
• Act as the voice of the customer by contributing to product development and continuous product improvements.
• Work with automation, electrical systems, battery-electric machines and autonomous solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Product Companies and Customer Centers.
• Support new product introductions and improvement initiatives at the Örebro factory.

The team of Global Service Engineers is responsible for supporting and training the Epiroc Service technicians around the world.

Additionally, we are the voice of the customer in product development and continuous product improvement activities to ensure what we develop fits well with the customer needs.

You will join a diverse international team with colleagues from different technical and cultural backgrounds, working together to support customers worldwide.

Your mission

In this role, you will be a technical expert supporting Epiroc service technicians and customer centers around the world. You will combine hands‑on work with deep technical problem solving, while continuously developing your expertise in drilling equipment, automation and electrification technologies.

Your responsibilities include:

• Providing global technical support for Surface Drilling equipment and systems, both remotely and on site.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues together with customer centers and service organizations worldwide.
• Conducting technical and operator training sessions for service technicians and customers.
• Acting as the voice of the customer by contributing to product development, validation activities and continuous product improvements.
• Working with a broad range of technologies, including automation, electrical systems, battery‑electric machines and autonomous solutions.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues across Product Companies and Customer Centers.
• Supporting new product introductions, development projects and improvement initiatives at our factory in Örebro.

Over time, you will be trained across multiple machine platforms, building broad system knowledge rather than specializing in a single machine type.

Your profile

To thrive in this role you will benefit from being communicative, collaborative, technically apt and thorough and you enjoy solving technical problems.

You may have a background as an electrician or have an engineering degree, preferably within Robotics, Automation, Electrics or equivalent, or a similar technical profession.

It is a requirement having a good command in English, as you will interact with people from all over the world. Being humble and energetic will help you to understand the requirements from customers and colleagues and to work on implementing requested changes on our products.

Understanding drilling equipment is of great benefit.

Location and other

This position is located in Örebro, Sweden and candidates should be able to work from this location. The role includes international travel, typically around 50-70 days per year.
