As a Global Technical Service Engineer, you’ll help shape the performance, reliability, and future of Epiroc’s material handling solutions across the world. If you are energized by solving real customer challenges and enjoy blending hands‑on work with analytical problem‑solving, this could be your next step.

About us

You will join the Global Technical Service team within the Parts & Services Division, working with Epiroc’s Loaders and Trucks product line. The team consists of experienced and dedicated technical specialists who support our customers and internal stakeholders worldwide. Collaboration, innovation, and knowledge‑sharing are central to how we operate. While based in Sweden, you will work in a highly international environment and contribute to strengthening product reliability, serviceability, and customer satisfaction across the globe.

Your Mission

As a Global Technical Service Engineer – Material Handling, you are a key technical expert supporting Epiroc’s global markets. Your mission is to ensure smooth machine start‑ups, effective troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement.

  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and customers through various communication channels.
  • Conduct technical trainings, both theoretical and practical, for technicians and customers.
  • Execute First‑on‑Market (FoM) start-ups and perform machine installations where applicable.
  • Contribute to product safety work and continuous product improvement (CPI) activities.
  • Participate in machine testing, verification, and evaluations to secure product performance and serviceability.
  • Create and maintain technical training material, machine system descriptions, and related documentation.
  • Review and contribute to updates of technical manuals, service instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert and collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and other internal functions to drive development initiatives.
  • Set up and execute technical support plans to ensure customer satisfaction and knowledge development within the network.

This role requires a unique blend of hands‑on technical ability and analytical, office‑based work - solving issues, writing reports, and contributing to long‑term product development.

Your Profile

You are service‑minded, curious, and driven by solving complex technical challenges in a global environment. You thrive in a role that combines practical work on machines with analytical tasks and documentation.

To succeed, you bring:

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to deliver technical trainings to diverse audiences.
  • The ability to troubleshoot systematically and work in both hands‑on and theoretical settings.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when required.
  • Technical education (university degree or equivalent experience) within mechanics, electrics, driveline systems, or similar fields.
  • Good understanding of machinery, preferably heavy equipment, production testing, automotive mechanics, or similar industries.
  • Excellent English skills, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in hydraulics, electrics, driveline systems, or previous hands‑on machine work is highly valued, though deep specialization is not required - we will help you grow into the role.
