Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a Manager, Global Service Readiness Engineering — CIBP to lead a team of service readiness engineers across the Cell & Gene Therapy, Biacore, Imager, and Palltronics portfolios. This onsite role operates from Uppsala, Sweden or Portsmouth, UK and reports to the Director of Global Service Engineering.

You will oversee daily operations, drive DFS scoring and spare parts strategies, and coordinate with R&D, Manufacturing, QA and Service Operations to maintain high-quality service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Physics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Several years in service engineering, field service, or product development in life sciences or medical devices.
• Experience leading or supervising technical teams including hiring and development.
• Experience in cross-functional NPD/product lifecycle teams and meeting tollgate deadlines.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, GMP/GxP, Veeva QMS and design control processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of service readiness engineers, including hiring, onboarding, training and performance management.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of service deliverables across tollgates and LFMs.
• Drive service readiness in NPD projects, owning DFS scoring, Service Plans, EHS risk assessments, and spare parts strategies.
• Manage lifecycle activities: service documentation, field mods, change orders, calibration procedures, spare parts updates.
• Act as SME on service aspects for the assigned product portfolio and interface with central and regional teams.
